One of the most common venue search requests we get from event planners is, “need a venue where I can BYO our own caterer”.

For some, choosing their own caterer is preferred as they think it will mean the event is cheaper… (note, it’s not always the case). But, for most event planners, they prefer to use an external caterer so they can have more flexibility and creative direction over the catering at their event. Styling the menu can have a big impact on the overall event experience, and by choosing their own caterer, Event Planner’s feel they have more control over the food element of the event.
